JULIE LAMARCHE
In the vibrant cityscape of Paris, where art and design converge, Julie Lamarche (1997), unveils a world of ethereal aesthetics and transformative fantasies. Born and raised in Bordeaux, she has called Paris home for the past seven years, carving her path in the realm of fashion design and forward-thinking design.
Julie’s journey led her to École Duperré, where she delved into the intricacies of fashion design and prospective design, ultimately attaining a master’s degree. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Designer for Women’s Embroidery at the Louis Vuitton Studio and stands as the visionary Founder of LamarcheLab.
Her creative spirit draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of object design, particularly the allure of glass and ceramic work from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. Murano glass, the stuccos and moldings of Paris, and the general craftsmanship of the decorative arts influence her work. Julie’s influences extend to organic forms found in our surroundings, the mystical allure of esotericism, dreams, and the surreal.
Julie’s distinctive style weaves seamlessly into an ethereal aesthetic, joyously inspired by dreams and the whimsical fantasies of transmutation and transformation. She accomplishes this through trompe-l’œil techniques and the interplay of material artifacts on the body.
As an Assistant Designer at the Louis Vuitton Studio, Julie navigates the intricate world of women’s embroidery with finesse. Simultaneously, her brainchild, LamarcheLab, stands as a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to pushing the boundaries of design.
In Julie Lamarche’s universe, the fusion of dreams, craftsmanship, and the mystical converge to create a visual symphony. Her work transcends the ordinary, inviting us to explore a realm where the fantastical meets the tangible, and where each design is a manifestation of her artistic alchemy.
