LOLA CACCIARELLA

Boarding on a photographic journey that transcends the ordinary, Lola Cacciarella (2000), emerges as a storyteller of life’s vibrant hues. Born and raised in the heart of Paris, her artistic exploration has taken her on a visual odyssey from Versailles to Budapest, with Gobelins school, serving as the canvas for her current chapter.

Lola’s educational path, initially traversing the halls of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles, found its true resonance at Gobelins, where she now pursues her passion in the third year of the Bachelor Photographer and Videographer program. Her creative pursuits led her to a transformative residency near Mount Bromo in Indonesia and a five-month study stint at the Moholy Nagy Art School in Budapest. Now back in Paris, she stands on the threshold of earning her diploma from Gobelins in June.

In the realm of influences and references, Lola draws inspiration from luminaries such as Vivian Maier, William Eggleston, and Ella Bats, immersing herself in colorful universes and intricate slices of life.

For Lola, photography is a portal to a parallel and fantastical reality. Her distinctive style unfolds through pastel hues and a summery ambiance that beckons viewers into realms of reverie. Focusing on themes like warmth, the human form, sunlight, and vivid colors, her camera becomes an extension of personal expression beyond the constraints of words.

One of Lola’s remarkable series, « Bleu comme une orange, » delicately balances between reality and reverie, adolescence and adulthood. Beneath the scorching summer sun, bodies awaken, absorbing the energy that radiates from the warmth, growing with it. Sensations intensify, revealing unsuspected nuances. Yellow dazzles, green pulses, and blue plunges into unexplored depths. Each shade evokes a new emotion, as if summer is painting the world with a brilliant palette, unveiling the hidden beauty of every moment.

Lola Cacciarella, with her lens, captures not just images but fragments of emotion, inviting audiences to see the world through her uniquely colorful perspective. As she navigates the juncture of academia and creative exploration, Lola continues to be a visual poet, celebrating the transient beauty of the everyday.
