JULIETTE ARNAL COLONNA
Juliette Arnal Colonna (1998) originally from Toulouse, has called Paris home for the past seven years. Having graduated from the prestigious École Camondo last June, she recently completed her final internship—a four-month stint in the realm of culinary event design. Now, Juliette channels her passion for design into a captivating fusion of collage, drawing inspiration from both the world of design and interior architecture. Collage has evolved into a primary medium for her, where drawings, photographs, references, and digital manipulation converge seamlessly. Soon, she will showcase her artistic vision in an upcoming exhibition at « Chez Francis » on Rue Saint Sauveur, unveiling her collages alongside specially designed bottles crafted for the occasion.
Cinema serves as a profound influence on Juliette’s creative journey, with films playing a central role in her daily inspiration. She finds herself drawn to directors who exhibit a meticulous control over their cinematic environments—a trait she admires in the works of Almodovar, Klapisch, and Honoré, to name a few. Their films are meticulously crafted, akin to meticulously composed photographs. Juliette’s artistic sensibility resonates with cinema that attends to every detail, where a single prop can shift the narrative trajectory with profound effect.
In Juliette Arnal Colonna’s creative realm, design transcends mere functionality, weaving narratives that evoke the essence of cinematic storytelling. With collage as her chosen medium, she seamlessly blends diverse elements into a cohesive whole, offering viewers a glimpse into her rich tapestry of imagination. As she continues to explore the intersection of design, cinema, and storytelling, Juliette invites audiences to embark on a visual journey where every detail holds significance and every composition tells a story.
